LISBOA REGION - NORTH OF THE RIO TEJO
Feira da Ladra (flea market) - Campo de Santa Clara, Lisboa
If you like seeking unusual gems at bargain prices, this awesome flea market is right up your street. It's a mix between a car boot sale and antique/Sunday markets and has become one of our preferred past-times. Arriving early morning and taking time out in our favourite local cafes/restaurants/park is really enjoyable. We spend days walking around & have found some amazing pieces whilst rummaging & haggling - we just love it!
It's open on Tuesdays & Saturdays, come rain or shine and is located next to the Pantheon in the Campo de Santa Clara. It's always heaving, especially during the summer months and is quite vast as it branches out over many streets. It can take hours to browse around as there's so much to see from the very new to the very old - such as bric-a-brac, tiles, books, paintings, vintage household goods, jewellery, toys, clothes and lots of junk...! |
Tips: There's free street parking, if you can find a space. Wear comfortable shoes & take some water during the hot summer months and some spare cash - just in case you find something you really, really want!
